Free Company (FC) Chat Etiquette
  • When chatting in FC please be courteous to others.
  • If you are unsure of the proper chatting etiquette please contact a council member for details.
  • Do not take personal drama into FC chat. If you have issues with another member use /tell or discuss it with council.
  • We all come from different areas and different cultures, try to keep religious icons, religion and politics out of FC chat.
  • Keep any discussion that can impede or affect the FCs morale or stability out of chat.
  • Do not harass FC members or Players. Do not gossip or liable about other FC members. If you have an issue please talk to Council and we will address it, and please remember to utilize the tools provided to you: blacklist and if necessary, report the player for harassment.

  • Use Caps Lock sparingly and in good taste.
  • Do not spam FC chat.
  • Be sure to check the FC message and rules regularly for updates and events.

  • If you have any questions, comments or concerns please speak with council immediately.

General Rules
  • Be kind and courteous to your fellow members.
  • Respect your fellow members.
  • Respect and take heed to your leaders and officers.
  • Do not, under any circumstances, be rude or offensive to anyone.
  • Do not, under any circumstances, start drama.
  • Swearing is allowed, as long as it is not used in an offensive manner.
  • Please remember that you are representing Tempest at all times.
  • Be yourself, and remember that we're a friendly community.
  • Due to the maturity level of the FC and content that might be discussed in a casual and fun / silly manner we are instilling a age requirement for the shell at 18 years and older.
  • While use of 3rd party applications like Parsers are allowed, Tempest does not support a method of play which utilizes botting or hacking game mechanics nor the scamming of other players. If you suspect a fellow Tempest member to be botting, hacking or scamming please let Council know so that we may ask them to stop. It is difficult to prove that anyone is using a third party program, and so we encourage you to report your suspicions to a GM and let SE be the judge and or jury regarding these situations. However, please note if you engage in activities that violate the ToS, removal from the FC is a likely consequence.

Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning, and we follow the "three strikes and you're out" ideology quite closely, however depending on the severity of the action you may be prematurely removed from the FC. Remember, it is important that you stick to them in order to have a friendly, helpful and fun atmosphere.

TeamSpeak
********************************************************************************************************************************************************

  • If you go AFK please move yourself to the AFK Channel or mute your mic.
  • Do not spam chat, talk in game if you need our attention and cannot speak. There is an automatic kick feature if you spam chat which will boot you from the channel for a short time.
  • Be mindful of others in your channel.
  • Keep politics, religion and sensitive topics out of TeamSpeak.
Finally, Tempest does allow it's members to be social and play with friends and Free Companies outside of our own, however remember you represent Tempest and it’s members and we expect you to uphold the standards for conduct both in and outside of our company. For the most part though if you have friends that need help, just let us know, we may be able to help them too! :)

Thank you for your cooperation, Tempest Free Company Council

********************************************************************************************************************************************************
Primals
********************************************************************************************************************************************************

Lotting for primals are as follows. Priority goes to members who need the weapon that they do not have a relic on, those wanting items for vanity gear or for their own collections come second.

********************************************************************************************************************************************************
Leave of Absence
********************************************************************************************************************************************************

Tempest reserves the right to remove inactive players who have been offline for periods over 30 days. While we are a group about friends and community and understand people have lives, we tend to look down on players who are *fair-weather friends, patch hoppers, or claim jumpers that expect us to help them catch up on content only to disappear for extensive periods of time.

This DOES NOT mean Tempest is not willing to work with people who have busy schedules or lives. We realize things come up that can take you away from the game, such as Military, kids, changes to work schedules, or other hardships. In the event something happens that may prevent you from coming online regularly, by all means find a way to inform a member of Tempest Council at your earliest convenience so we can keep you on the roster for whenever you can come back

*Just in case you're wondering what those references mean.
Fair-weather Friends- Randomly appears and disappears for periods of time without notice. Typically random and unreliable for attendance at events.

Patch Hoppers- Only log in when a new patch comes out, typically tries out the content for about a week or until they complete it all then disappear till the next patch.

Claim Jumpers- Only come to event's when there's something in it for them. Often does not attend events except when there is gear they want or help they need.

Feedback / Reporting Problems and Concerns
********************************************************************************************************************************************************

Tempest has an open door policy when it comes to negative and positive feedback and reporting problems and concerns. If you have any questions, concerns, comments, problems, or suggestions, please do not hesitate to let us know and the council will discuss it and try to accommodate and take care of the issue, but we ask you to please do us a few things in return.

• Please be as clear and detailed as possible. One thing you say, might be perceived differently from another if it's short or vaguely written.

• Please keep it clean, no calling out people or members in FC/LS chat, and try to not be overly emotional, it can create unnecessary drama and you may regret what you say when you calm down. If there is an issue regarding another member or you wish to remain anonymous to members, contact the council via Message, /tell, or ask to be moved into Council to discuss the issue privately on TeamSpeak/Vent.

• Please DO NOT try to question rules or policies at the start of or during events, this cut's into the Free Companies event times, slows our progress, and waste's members time trying to discuss who get's what or if someone has a problem with the rules. Unless the council deems a specific problem as a major conflict with the current rules, Tempest council reserves the right to discuss the issue later during non-event times.

Please be advised, while the Tempest council will do everything in it's power to try and accommodate it's members, we cannot and will not likely accept every suggestion that is thrown our way. If you're suggestion is not accepted, please accept that the council decided it was not in the Free Companies nor our members best interests and leave it at that. You are more than welcomed to resubmit your suggestion, if you can improve upon the original idea and can eliminate the initial problems (and not present any new ones) that caused council to decline it the first time.

Please Note: Please note Council reserves the right to record all conversations regarding problems and complaints with the FC via-screen shot.
